Ahlan wa Sahlan ya Ramadan,
The month of peace, integrity, and unity came back again after a blossoming summer.
The righteous ones who seek God in the walks of their lives fast,
The kind ones who want to provide service to mankind fast,
The upright ones who establish justice in all acts fast.
The pure-hearted ones who belong to the God fast,
The jovial ones who want to spread happiness in the gloomy parts of the world fast.
The courageous ones who fight against all odds fast,
The truth-seeker who wants to know the unknown and discover facts fasts.
The cheerful ones who form beautiful relationships with others fast,
The believer who believes in equity fasts,
The patient ones who endure all the wrongdoings but don’t bow down yet remain so calm, fast,
In the month of refraining, the essence of mankind comes forth.
In the month of purification, all the hearts unite in the sacred way of a disciplined life order.
If all the months in the year were maintained with such scrutiny and sincerity, love would be poured all over.
In a world full of distracted souls, the light actually slows down, but some rays of wonder shine through anyway.
The mischievous activities are deemed illegal these days.
Mankind shall not always seek pleasure, for it is created for a mission.
The mission to find a purpose and work hard towards the goals,
The goal is to be a changemaker.
The goal of transforming the society,
The mission to eradicate the disparities,
But the world and society are full of prejudice and judgments lacking empathy,
which confirms inequality in the lives of others.
Ahlan wa Sahlan ya Ramadan,
At least for this one month, stop all these differences and unite people.
Ahlan wa Sahlan ya Ramadan,
At least this one month brings collective rituals.
Brings people closer,
Ahlan wa Sahlan ya Ramadan,
At least for this one month, the rich think about the poor and feel responsible towards the less privileged ones.
Ahlan wa Sahlan ya Ramadan,
You bring the peace and love that God has ever promised to us.
You transform people into their best version so that they use to contemplate themselves in the mirror!
Ahlan wa Sahlan, Ya Ramadan!
